This was a file round robin and
we did this for homework.
Nobody knew what it would end
up looking like. We started with
the centre front block and changed hands
and then made the border for the block.
Again changed hands and made the
side panel for the file. Once again changed
hands and made a back block.
Now we have received our blocks and
am to complete them into file covers for
our sewing.

This was such fun and the whole group
could not wait to see what each one looks
like when completed. The group meet
at The Afrokaan in Graafwater, Western Cape
once a week.
But got together specially for this class which was
attended by six ladies. It was done by a previous
member of the group who visit's us now and then.
C made this once
This is both DS and DN
DS's bag on the other side
AM's bag
This is DN and RT's bags.
The same pattern was used but each
one came outaccording to the
Quilter's choice of fabric.

My sewing bag
I did a course on Friday and
made this lovely sewing bag with
so many pockets which is just
great.
It is made from my Australian
Country Threads Magazine and
was designed by Ann Dimmer.
This is the front of the bag.
There are 60 10cm blocks in
this bag.
I did not realize that I had so
much fabric as everyone is
different. So now at least
I know how much fabric I have.
Some of the pieces are the last
10cm squares that I could get out.
The lovely red roses fabric is from
a very dear friend in England.
So it every piece of the fabric
used here special gifts from
friends.
This is the back of the bag
This is the inside of it. Actually
it is 2 bags joined with a zip and
that give me another pocket.
So now I have a great sewing
bag and place for everything except
the kitchen zinc.
