Matthew!!

This is in Namibia where the kids were on their
way back to the Lodge.

























The only way Daughter thought of explaining
this to Matthew was to tell him it was a star
that fell out of the sky and is now sleeping.
well he then decided even if it is light he wants
to sleep with the star.

In the garden!!!

This is a gorgous bouganvillia
that grows in our garden and
flowers on the neighbours side
and it is just one that has the combined
colored flowers. A real beauty.
taken around 5.30pm this afternoon.
















This is a wooden cross that I made
all by myself from some wood lying
around here and then picked some
lovely lavender from the garden and also
the greenery from one of the conifer trees.

Another completed project!!

This is one of the round pillows

that I have completed for my bedroom

The idea has been twirling around in my

head for some time now and here is the result.

Still have the other one to completed must say

it is nearly finished.

My sewing machine cover

I have completed my sewing machine cover at last.
I have been wanting to make one for my sewing machine
for ages but never really got round to it. Now that I am
getting my sewing room a bit more organized, well hopefully.
I decided to make the cover.















This is the top and side panel which was embroiderd
with threads that I had received from Pamela in USA.

This is the back panel.
I just loved using all my goodies that
I have collected over the years and also
that I have recieved from friends.

was a round robin project by the

Potpouri group and now completed.

He is not very impressed with

the new bicycle. Too much hard

work. Still has to learn to work the

pedals to move forward.

No more riding for today.

It was great having the kids visiting here

but sadly that has come to an end and they

are now on their way back home.

Matthew kept us very busy and now the

house is so quiet even the dogs dont know what

to do with themselves. Maybe they are just

resting after all the activities with Matthew.

Never a dull moment with him around.

Daughter sewing file

This is the file I made for my daughter.

She has received it and loves it and already

has lots of her embroidery pages in.

Busy

Have been doing some sewing, but it was not much
as I am now trying to complete my round robin file.
Making one for my daughter who will be visiting us soon.
Cannot wait to see what she has been up to as she has
started to do some embroidery.

Potpourie Round Robin

This was a file round robin and
we did this for homework.
Nobody knew what it would end
up looking like. We started with
the centre front block and changed hands
and then made the border for the block.
Again changed hands and made the
side panel for the file. Once again changed
hands and made a back block.
Now we have received our blocks and
am to complete them into file covers for
our sewing.

Potpouri group bags.

This was such fun and the whole group
could not wait to see what each one looks
like when completed. The group meet
at The Afrokaan in Graafwater, Western Cape
once a week.
But got together specially for this class which was
attended by six ladies. It was done by a previous
member of the group who visit's us now and then.
