Daily life and having fun!
Well I have had a busy week and needed some stitching time this Saturday afternoon.
Hubby has to go to have the second cataract removed by specialist in Port Elizabeth and I have to go with to drive back as he is not allowed to drive after the treatment.
So I have to wait in the car, I am not allowed in with him, because of the covid regulations. Grrr!!! anyway I have now prepped the hexi flowers and leaves to be appliqued and it will keep me busy for a while. Having fun with this wall hanging and changing it to include lots of my favorite techniques. I have added lots of hexi's and stars. Using all left overs of other projects I completed recently. I am just adding stuff as I go along. Next will be the small flowers to the leaves that I embroidered, but am unsure what I will be adding. Then onto a border, quilting and binding.
Saw this on our walk today in someones garden and just had to have a photo of the beauty of this flower.

Our Hibiscus!!!
Our hibiscus is flowering again as always!!
So thankful for the rain that we have had recently!!
Am busy with all my small projects and getting some done. Have lots of items that are nearing completion and will show when done. Also sorting through the cupboards after Daughter moved out into her own cute home. The house seems awfully empty now after being overfilled with daughters treasures. hehehe we have to get used to having such an empty house. Not easy but I am getting all my stuff around and the house is starting to look colorful again.Hubby went to have a cataract removed yesterday and getting the other eye done on the 12th April.

Another finish!
l have now used up all my left over wools and gave all the items to our local Child Welfare! It felt great to just give it all away and each item was made with love.
I decided not to buy anymore wool, but yes a but, there is so much need in our country for baby stuff that l am having a hard time not responding to it and going out and buying some wool and get a few items to donate. I seem to need a charity project to work on and just be thankful that l am able and have money, to make small contribution to keep someone warm!
Grrr going to buy some wool tomorrow, but just one ball and lucky for me we have a lovely shop here in town, Holly House, so l can get just one ball of wool at a time!
Have started working on my cross stitching a bit lately and also finished a few UFO's laying around here!
Am really enjoying my time at slow stitching and have found this cute website and going to enjoy it and see where this stitchers inspiration takes me!
