More embroidery!! and some sad news!!

I have really had lots of fun today with all this embroidery.
I am very lucky that qubby (quilting husband) decided to make us a lovely hot lunch.
It is winter here and it was rainy all day and just the right day to get me going on with the
embroidery that was not going very fast, well not fast enough for me.
Now I have nearly finished another block and I am over the halfway mark and that is
very inspiring for me as my aim is to get the embroidery done by the end of the year.

On a sadder note, my moms dog 'Vlekkie' has come to the end of the line for her after more than 15 years of a lovely life. Now there is only us girls left and my sister is not doing too great. She has had such a hard time these last few years and also has survived cancer. I am praying for her to recover but that does not seem to be the case this time round. She has a tumor in her neck and its growing into the spinal column and the previous treatment got it to shrink back. Then she got the same in both her legs and that was treated and that treatment turned sour and put in to bone cancer and heading to the bone marrow. Well after a very new very difficult cancer treatment she was cleared and now the tumor is back with a bang and growing again. I was hoping that she would come and live here in our small town so that I can take care of her but she regards it as too boring for her. So now I have to come to terms with her choice which is very difficult for me.
So now I need to get back to see how our dog Zazu is doing, she is also not great, and will be going to the vet tomorrow to see what is wrong with her. She is the cream or tan labrador. The black one is Bella and is a crossed labrador with ridgeback. They have become like sisters and have not been seperated for ages. So we will not run ahead and see what happens tomorrow.
