Begining a new quilt

This is the first block of a new quilt that
I am doing. I have been collecting some
fabrics for it for sometime now. As you all
know the collecting takes time. hehehehe

This is what the block looks like when
all four sections are together.
It is from an American Quilt Mag
called Forest Wildflowers by
Deb Karasik and Janet Mednic
am not doing the quilt exactly
the same but will see where this one
takes me.

Hi

I just love the effect - here in Aus we would call that a whirligig

That pattern is very effective ... it looks as though it will whirl off into space any moment. Love the brilliant colours

Thank you all for the compliments, I am hoping to continue with it once our quilt show is over and we have been to visit our daughter by mid September.
