What to do?

My daughter asked me a very difficult question today.  'Mom what must l do with all this cross stitch stuff when you pass on? She doesn't do much handstitching. Doesn't have the time and no interest. She loves painting.

Well l said what you don't want throw it away. That was not a good answer at all! I now realize how much this was bothering her. It is causing her lots of stress it seems.

Well that ended in tears and it was very thought provoking for me. She replied ' how do you expect me to throw something away when l know how much time you spent working on them and also how you enjoyed every stitch!'

So l pondered for a while and contacted a friend that loves cross stitching and she said that her stitching friends have decided to give a name and number of a friend that will take all their stitching stuff and share it to other crosstitching friends.

Wow so l asķed if l can give her name and number to my daughter to pass my stuff onto. She accepted my offer.

That is just the way stitchers who care help each other.  Only sad thing is that l am far from that group but my daughter can send it all to her.  So relieved that l am able to sort thru this hickup.

So now l need to find a person to take all my fabrics too.

Will sort that out when l get there. One step at a time as the saying goes!

Now back to crosstitching on 'Little Women'!
